Military and Veteran Initiatives
Our gratitude is extended to those in military service as well as those who have served in the past. The Penuel Foundation recognizes their dedication to our protection and our need to offer them guidance and support after they have served. Help us help them.
Issues We Address
Veterans frequently need help transitioning back into their non-military lives. This is true especially of those returning from combat. Suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or traumatic brain injury (TBI), are in crisis and experiencing depression and suicidal thoughts. They’ve protected us. Now it’s our turn to protect them.
Solutions We Support
Veterans and their families require care when the effects of military time appear. Crisis intervention by trained professionals can sometimes prevent situations from escalating. Veteran outreach initiatives and family services are intricate parts of the return to home and family life. Physical rehabilitation for the injured and VA hospital services for all are critical components for a safe, supportive return home for our military veterans. We can’t do this alone. We need your help in Rochester, NY and beyond.
“Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause.”
